Abstract: The renewable energy (PV/Wind) sources integrated into power systems, offer solutions for clean power supply. Currently, many countries all over the world have implemented or in the process of implementing policies to promote renewable energy integrated into the power grid. This is because distributed energy resources in the power system could provide better balance between the increasing electricity demand and reduce the power losses, traditional power exportation, as well as enhance the controllability of energy deployment, which would be the main component of the next-generation power grid framework, with intelligent monitoring techniques and advanced management measures to have a smart power grid. In this presentation, I will share a detailed simulation of the impacts of renewable energy sources integration with smart micro power grid. Modeling and simulation will be implemented by using (Digsilent) software to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
Biograhy: Ahmad M. Harb receive his Ph.D. degree from Virginia Tech., Virginia, USA, in 1996. Currently, he is a Professor at German Jordanian University (GJU). Dr. Harb is IEEE senior member. Dr. Harb was the dean of Natural Resources Engineering at German Jordanian University (2011-2013). Dr. Harb is the founder and Editor-in-Chief for the International Journal of Modern Nonlinear Theory and Application, IJMNTA. Dr. Harb has published more than 100 journal articles and conference proceedings. His research interests include power system, renewable energy, smart power grid, power electronics, modern nonlinear theory (bifurcation & chaos).
